Workforce Education Resource Center

Mission Statement

At the Workforce Education Resource Center, our mission is to empower students for career success by bridging the gap between academic learning and the modern workforce. We provide comprehensive tools, training, and real-world experiences, fostering an environment where students can explore, experience, and excel. Through our innovative hybrid model, we aim to equip every student with the skills, confidence, and direction they need to thrive in their chosen careers

About Us

The Workforce Education Resource Center (WERC) is your comprehensive guide to bridging the gap between academic learning and career success. We understand that today’s students need more than just traditional education to thrive in the modern workforce. That’s why we’ve developed a unique hybrid model that combines the best of both worlds.

Our nonprofit arm, the WERC Foundation, offers students free access to mentorship, stipends, coaching, and training. Simultaneously, our for-profit entity, WERC Group LLC, develops scalable digital platforms and curriculum tools that support our mission and enhance the learning experience.

Our approach is based on a three-part plan: Explore, Experience, and Excel. We guide students to explore various careers through mentorship, assessments, and workshops. We provide them with real-world job experiences via internships and apprenticeships. Finally, we help them excel by earning digital badges, building a portfolio, and mastering both soft and technical skills.

With over 1,000 students served annually, partnerships with schools, businesses, and nonprofits, and a proven model aligned with workforce trends, WERC is committed to equipping students with the tools, training, and experiences they need to succeed in their chosen careers.
